Who we are

About Akhawein Charity

Community work and development since 2009, serving the families who need it most across Egypt.

Our story

Accountable giving that protects human dignity

Akhawein Charity was founded in 2009 as an Egyptian community organisation dedicated to social solidarity. We meet the living, health and education needs of the most vulnerable with the highest standards of honesty and transparency.

We invest in culture, skills and people: fighting poverty, advancing education, improving health and preparing young people for today’s job market.

We believe lasting development needs honest, determined management centred on people, so we opened branches across several governorates. We work alongside the state, with its approval, as partners in raising the cultural, educational and living standards of our society.

﴿ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ﴾

Help one another in righteousness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression.

The Holy Quran, Al-Ma’idah 5:2
